Ann Bannon MarbutBAKERPassed peacefully away at the Leicester Royal Infirmary on Thursday 3rd September after a short illness, aged 80 years. Beloved wife of Alan. Bannon made many friends, over many years in Leicester. She will be remembered by the congregation at St Peter's Church, Oadby; the Leicestershire Anglo-Hispanic Society, of which she was Secretary; her circle of fellow French speakers based in Knighton and Wigston; and the ex-University walking group, of which she was a founding member. She will also be remembered for her Latin American artefacts shop, El Encanto, in Loseby Lane, 1982 - 2002; and for her voluntary work as a mentor in a number of schools after retirement.
