Remembering our dear friend who was faithful to His Lord and Saviour. A lover of the Gospel and the souls of those to whom he faithfully preached its wonderful liberating message. A lover of the ‘blessed hope, and glorious appearing of our … Lord Jesus Christ’, which could happen ‘Perhaps Today! A larger than life character who is going to be sorely missed. Our love, our thoughts and continued prayers are for those of his loved ones he has left behind.

A beloved brother and faithful friend, Alan's service was lived out quietly doing what he loved most, serving his Master and the Christ he often spoke of. Many children I have no doubt and teachers too will be in Heaven through his labours in schools. I know of teenagers he personally encouraged by letter leaving a deep impression. Our sincere sympathies to Pauline, Rachel, Jonathan and Andrew

Faithful! Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.(1st Corinthians Ch4 v2)A beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord:(Colossians Ch4 v7During Alan's life whenever I spoke to him, worked with him, or heard from others about him one word seems to sum up his life - FAITHFUL. The word seemed to be written in every department of his life. Like Hanani in the Old Testament Alan was a 'faithful man, and feared God above many.' We needed such men and miss them greatly when the Lord takes them home to Heaven. One of my prayers is that others will step into his shoes to carry the torch of the Gospel across the North East of England. They are large shoes to fill! We pray for you all as a family that the 'God of all comfort' will strengthen you, support you and sustain you all in the days ahead. With our love in the Lord, Robert & Karen.
