Beloved partner of Janet, devoted Father to Jason and Cheri, loving Grandfather to Marcus and much loved Brother to George and Josephine. Will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. A private celebration of John's life to take place at Cheltenham Crematorium Oak Chapel on Wednesday 23rd September 2020 at 1pm. Rest in peace John, I’ve only just seen this. He was a good friend of my stepdad Colin Short, and after Colin passed away he was the only person who checked in on my mum, Celia, who passed away 2nd November 2020. Such sad news,, John was a lovely bloke 🙏🙏x

There were so many sides to Mr Sloopy's personality that will be sorely missed, his loyalty as a true friend to my Dad (Puffing Billy aka C. Chandler), how he always had a joke or something cheeky to say, his love of American cars and his ever keenness to help us all out, as and where he could. He really has left us far too soon. Yet another one gone from a generation that is disappearing too quickly. All the very best to those going tomorrow. Holly Chandler.
