JanetBEARDSLEYNée Hammersley Late of Littleover and Sawley. Passed away peacefully after a short illness at Landemere Care Home, Sinfin, Derby. On June 2nd 2020 aged 89 years. Beloved Wife of the late Norman and a much loved Sister in Law and Auntie. Janet will be sadly missed by her family, neighbours and many friends including staff and residents at Landemere care home all of who loved her very much. Due to current restrictions a private funeral service will be held at Markeaton Crematorium (Main Chapel) on Thursday 18th June at 2pm. Bright colours may be worn. I've got really good memories of spending time with Jan. She was such an upbeat, funny and kind person. I'll really miss her. Rest in peace dear Jan. Love.

I was so lucky to have Jan-Jan as my Godmother. I am so grateful for all the happy times we spent together and the great adventures we went on. I will cherish these memories fondly, I was so glad that we were able to visit you recently and we made your day introducing you to Simon! Snuggles, Emily and Simon xx

Worked with Jan at BBC from 1982 and she became my daughter Emily's godmother....what a fabulous lady... bless you

I hadn't seen Jan for a few years, which I now very much regret, but she was such a good friend to me and my whole family and we all loved her. I'll remember her kindness, not just to me but to everyone, and her sense of humour. It's such a shame, we need more people like Jan right now, not less.
