I first got to know Adam in autumn of 2006 when he came to study for an MSc degree at Leicester. Apart from doing fantastically well in his studies, what struck me about Adam was how much I enjoyed talking with him. Over the years when we would bump into each other in the corridor at the university (had to be walking towards each other, as there was no hope of keeping up with Adam's super speedy gait) it was always a boost to chat with him, and I will miss him. So sad to hear this news, Adam was part of our PhD and research community in the Department of Genetics at the University of Leicester for many years. I remember having lots of very interesting conversations with him over a coffee in the sunshine and sometimes sheltered from the rain outside the Adrian, debating the rights and wrongs of many things, but often with a laugh.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very sad time.
Rest in peace Adam, you will be sadly missed.
Heather.
