ShirleyBIRD (nee Dean)Peacefully passed away at home on May 14th 2022, surrounded by her loving family following a long illness borne with great courage and dignity, whilst still thinking only of others. Shirley aged 74 years of Birches Head. The loving partner of 38 years to Jeff Keen, cherished sister of Barbara, Margaret and brothers-in-law Mick and Richard, beloved auntie of Kaye & Rob, Julie & Carl, Steve & Clare and Alison & Andy. Loving great auntie of Freya and Libby and a dear friend of Gill and Paul. Shirley will be greatly missed by all her family and friends, her lovely nature will never be forgotten. Funeral service will take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Wednesday June 8th at 1.30pm. Will relatives and friends kindly meet at Carmountside. No floral tributes please by request, donations if desired for Cancer Research UK. Donations and enquiries to Birch House, Birches Head Road, Hanley, ST1 6LH. Tel. 01782 212880.

Shirley Bird who I met New Years Eve 1984 at Chicos nightclub would turn out to be a massive love in my life for nearly 38 years . When we met I instantly knew this girl was special and we led a wonderful life with her love for me making me a better person . Such was her beautiful nature that everybody that knew her was richer for her love . Bless you Princess.
