OliveBOOTHDied 23rd November 2011 aged 90 years. Late of Stainsby Avenue, Horsley Woodhouse and Ashfield's Care Home, Heanor. Rose, Marjorie, Nell, sister-in-law Connie and members of the wider family, wish to thank everyone for their condolences, sympathy and support at this sad and difficult time of Olive's death. The number of cards, letters and calls and the large attendance at the funeral gave great comfort. Thanks to those connected with the Arthur Medical Centre, Derby Royal Hospital and DCC Social Services and for the last 10 months the staff at Ashfield's Care Home in Heanor. During all of the last number of years, wherever Olive has been, all have given her medical and personal attention, loving care and friendship over this long period of time. Olive had a wide communion of friends, some world-wide and thanks go to all the family and relatives, friends and colleagues far and wide, friends and neighbours for the help, support and understanding. Thanks for many years of enduring friendships through the Scout Movement and past workmates. A strong and faithful member of the Horsley Woodhouse Methodist Church, a special thanks for the enfolding love and support of the congregation. To neighbours, past and present in Stainsby Avenue, she had a special fondness, thanks for the concern and neighbourliness you gave her, this made her feel secure and part of life's community. Thanks to the Rev Susan Chambers who gave comfort and solace to Olive and also to Nigel Allen, funeral director for the sympathetic and dignified attention. Thanks for the donations, these are not yet finalised, but will ultimately be divided between Cancer Research and Horsley Woodhouse Scout Group.
