GerardCARPENTER ('Ged')'Ged' Sadly passed away on Friday 12th March 2021, aged 69 years. Dearly loved partner to Elaine, father to Tony and Helen, father-in-law to Joanne, grandfather to Emily, James, Alice and Mae, great grandfather to Harry and Ella, brother to Kate, Jill and John, an uncle and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all. Due to current restrictions, a private funeral service will be held at Markeaton Crematorium, Main Chapel on Thursday 1st April 2021, with a commemorative celebration with all his family and friends to follow later in the year. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired, are invited for the RNLI. These can be made online at www.georgesimnett.co.uk or sent directly to the charity. To all who feel the loss of beloved Ged, the years separated us, but I saw him from a child to now as someone who greatly held the values of love and respect to everyone. My last memory was his usual big loving arm around Aunty Joan, big hug and huge smile and a giggle. A true gentleman spreading love, warmth and generosity to all.
