James Charles Edward (Ted)CHEYNESadly passed away on the 23rd of August at The Diana Princess of Wales Hospital. Ted, of Holton Le Clay, is survived by his wife Jane (Jan). They were due to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary on the 30th of August. Ted was born in Scotland and achieved his boyhood ambition of joining the Royal Air Force at 17 years of age in 1955. He completed his service in 1994, retiring with the rank of Flt/Sgt. Throughout his service career he served at RAF Valley, Binbrook, Germany, El Adem, Cyprus and the Falkland Islands. A funeral service will take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Tuesday the 10th of September at 1.40 pm. Flowers or donations to the R.N.I.B. may be sent to Sentiments Funeral Directors, Grimsby, where Ted is resting peacefully.
