A dear brother to Peter, brother-in-law to Julie, son of Joan and the late Denis and husband of Erica. A keen reader, hiker, runner, lover of music (and all things Jethro Tull ), chess, cards, cooking, food, wine and beer. Most of all a lover of life and a kind soul.

I was a teacher at Monks Road School when Steve was a pupil there and I remember him with great affection. He was a key member of the football team in his final year there. My deepest sympathy to his family. Peter Harrod
