Richard JamesCLACKPassed away peacefully at home in Exeter on 14th June aged 70 after a short, but brave battle with Motor Neurone Disease. Beloved Husband of Lynda, much loved Father of Melissa, David, and Amy, very special Grandad to Emily-Mae, Stephanie, and Elizabeth. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Richard was a kind, loving and gentle man, who made a huge contribution to the NHS during his 40-year career in finance. Upon retirement he dedicated his time to charity work using his considerable skills and was on the Board of Trustees of Devon Wildlife Trust, Exeter Community Initiatives, Refuge for Pets and the Northbrook Community Trust. He will be fondly remembered for his love of music and his inspiring desire to see the good in everything, and of course, that cheeky smile. A celebration of Richard's life will be held at Exeter Cathedral on Thursday 30th June at 2pm followed by a private family cremation. Bright summer clothes can be worn in celebration of his life. Family flowers only, donations in memory of Richard, for Devon Wildlife Trust, Exeter Community Initiatives and Refuge for Pets, should be made at the service or c/o Funeral Directors, Peter Frank Turl, 16 Victoria Road, Topsham, Exeter, EX3 0EU. www.peterfrankturl.co.uk
