PatrickCOWLEYPeacefully, following a long illness courageously borne, Patrick aged 61, passed away on Thursday 9th June at the University Hospital of Wales. Youngest and dearly loved son of the late Jim and Joan, beloved brother to Paul, the late Moira, Phillip and Mary and dear brother-in-law to David and Bernadette. A much-loved uncle and great uncle. Sadly missed by so many relatives and friends from his early days and later in his life through his love of Football, Skittles, Cricket and Fishing. Patrick will be resting at J.Pidgeon & Son, 539 Cowbridge Road East, Victoria Park, Cardiff (Tel. 02920 226604) until a Mass at St Patrick's Church, Grangetown on Friday 1st July at 11.00am, followed by interment at Western Cemetery, Ely at 12.30pm. As a celebration of Patrick's life, the family would appreciate bright colours be worn. Family flowers only, donations in lieu of flowers to Cancer Research Wales, Velindre Hospital, Whitchurch, Cardiff, CF14 2TL. With grateful thanks to the E.N.T. Team at U.H.W. for their care and dedication these past four years and to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of B7 North who looked after Patrick so well and gave him a peaceful end of life.

Patrick. Too many memories, would be impossible to single out one.
Recalling our time playing or watching sport together over the many years that brought tears of both joy and heartache. I wouldn't change any of them. Even just hanging out was always a pleasure. I even forgive you for pinching my baguette from the fridge in Santa Ponsa and the fact that I was the brunt of the hilarity that ensued.
Proud that you fought your illness so courageously 'til the very end but this was your time.
Rest in peace my good friend.
