BarrieDAVYfrom Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, passed away on 6th January 2021. He was retired from his career and worked for Burtons Menswear for many years. His funeral is being held at Mansfield Crematorium on 1st March 2021. There will be no flowers, however donations to the British Heart Foundation or Diabetes UK have been requested from his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, including family, lifelong friends, old work colleagues and all his badminton drinking buddies. We will miss your stories, singing, shopping, joining you for lunch and general great sense of humour. Love always Donna, Tracy, Keith and Caitlin and all of our families that had the great pleasure to know you over the many many years. We will have a pint of mild in your honour.

Barrie, what a pleasure it has been to know you over my lifetime. From all of us climbing in your car to go to the races, teaching us about betting, to strawberry picking.
Catching up with you at family events and having a good natter. Seeing you on Saturdays in Burtons, when we all piled in to say hello to yourself and Tracy.

What has been really special has been these last two years of really getting to know you, meeting monthly for meals at The Countryman to meeting you regularly, for chips, at your home. It was nice to learn about your life, to share stories and for your valued support to myself. I am so happy you allowed us to help you over this last year, to make sure you had meals and company.

The last time we saw you, you sang to us from Calamity Jane, it was lovely and I was looking forward to hearing more.

Thanks for letting me pop down to check on you and I know deep down you enjoyed the company. Until we meet again Barrie rest in peace.
