It is with great sadness that I have learned of Karen's passing. I had the pleasure of working with her at Hereward Fm and renewing our friendship last year when visiting Bamburgh. It had been 20 years since we had last met face to face but she was still the same vibrant Karen. I will miss her lively Facebook entries. Rest in peace KD

Have just found out that Karen has passed. We have been friends for about ten years & on my annual trips back from the US, we always managed to meet for lunch and a catch-up. Spent a lovely day with her in Seahouses last year when she was feeling really good.
Karen was one of a kind and I will truly miss her.
