PatriciaFEENEYIn loving memory of Patricia 'Pat' Feeney, who sadly passed away in the care of Astley Grange Nursing Home, Huddersfield after a long illness.

Loving mum of Nikki and Stuart, mother in law of Aleks and Michelle, adored Nana of Natasha, Anouk and Adam, beloved sister of Jack, Carol, Dawn and the late Mary and a good friend to many.

Funeral to take place at Huddersfield Crematorium at 12.30pm, Monday 9th December, with a reception afterwards at Woodland Glade.

Family flowers only. Donations in Pat's memory can be made to Kirkwood Hospice and there will be a collection at the crematorium for Astley Grange Nursing Home who cared for Pat during her final months.

Pat wanted the funeral to be a celebration of her life so she requested that no black be worn. Her favourite colour was blue; she also loved Christmas so festive colours would also be appreciated.

Nikki and Stuart I am so very sorry for your loss. When Steve and I met, Pat made me so very welcome. We hit it off straight away. She was one of the nicest people I have had the privilege to know, always looked immaculate, but the friendliest and kindest person too. I totally admired how she dealt with the hand she had been given. A wonderful lady who will be sadly missed by all. Jean xx

Dear Nikki and Stuart, we were so very sad to hear the news of your mum. I must have known her going on 50 years, a good few years before you two came along. Your Mum was always so immaculate in every way, her hair, her nails, her dresses, everything. Same with her house and garden, never a spec of dust or a single item out of place. She was such a kind, caring and special person who didn't deserve some of the cards she was dealt in life. She was also so strong showing so much courage to battle her cancer the way she did for years and years, time after time. But Pat never gave up and kept going decade after decade. My own personal opinion of how she demonstrated how strong and resilient a person she was , was the fact she lived, coped and survived over 30 years with a broken heart, which I feel was probably more painful than all the illness and treatments she endured in her lifetime. Hopefully now she is totally free from pain and hurt which she truly deserves. God bless. Steve and Jean xxx

So sad to have lost my big sister Pat. It was funny when going up I used to tease Pat by saying to her “Patricia Ann tin can copper kettle brass pan”. Pat hated Patricia but yet in Astley Grange she told everyone to call her Patricia. After a long illness Pat finally left a sad family but knowing she will be with loved ones gives some comfort. Maybe now she can get her Wooden Whistle to work.

Dear Nikki and Stuart, Just want to say that l was so fond of your mum. She was kind, funny, and great company. As well as the occasional tea parties in Ripon and Harrogate, we enjoyed our lengthy phone conversations, which could last hours! I missed her very much when l had to move to America; therefore very glad that l saw her along with the Briary girls last Spring. As usual she was brave, cheerful, and happy to be with us all. A lovely last memory xx
