JulieFOXDearly loved wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend, died September 7th 2022, at home in Topsham after 9 years of living with Alzheimer’s Disease. Born in Exeter, 2nd January, 1956, daughter of Harold and Gladys Densham, younger sister to Lesley and older sister to Pete. They grew up in Shillingford St George and Julie went to St Thomas’ Secondary Modern School. She loved to play badminton and later worked at Boots the Chemist in Tiverton and Exeter making many close friends there. Julie radiated such warmth through her smile and instantly Peter (Fox), knew he was going to marry her. She had also met her soul-mate and they got married on 22nd October 1983. They then moved to Burley- In- Wharfedale, Yorkshire, where they brought up their two daughters Nicola and Laura. Her fun-loving personality was magnetic and fun guaranteeing warm relationships that lasted throughout her life. She considered her Yorkshire friends to be as close as family and with them she enjoyed crafting, singing in choirs, swimming and walking. The families would holiday together down in Cornwall each year and it was always filled with fun and laughter. Her caring qualities led her to work as a teaching assistant at both Burley Oaks Primary and Ilkley Middle School, where she supported many children. Despite her Alzheimer’s diagnosis in 2014 Julie remained cheerful, with always a warm smile on her face. She would find fun and laughter at any given opportunity. Her laugh was her most distinguishing feature and this paired with her competitive nature shone through, particularly at Christmas during family games. When grandchildren came along Julie and Peter spent their time between Topsham and Burley and on losing Peter, Julie moved to Topsham to be near her daughters and the lights of her life, her grandchildren, Alfie, Florence, Myla and James. Despite her diagnosis she always remained happy, greeted everyone with a smile and never stopped singing. She will remain in our hearts forever.
