ErnestGAMBLE (Ernie)Ernie Ernie of Houghton on the Hill passed away on 25th January 2020 at Leicester Royal Infirmary, aged 87 years. Previously a member of Birstall Football Club and Cricket Club, Houghton Rangers and Scraptoft Golf Club. Ernie's funeral service will take place at Great Glen Crematorium for a private committal, followed by a Thanksgiving Service on Thursday 13th February 2020 at 4.00pm at St Catharine's Church Houghton on the Hill. Family flowers only. Donations if so desired to Leicester Hospitals Charity and The Vines Multi Academy Trust. May I offer my condolences to the Gamble Family. I worked with Ernie when I was with the Leceister B S in 1976 and in the C& G
up until the late 1990s. He was a delight to do business with over those years, a real gentleman and always so helpful. The last time I saw Ernie when he came down to Gloucester with his Wife Pat to my daughter Laura's christening . I have fond memories of him, may he rest in peace. Robin
