Always enjoyed visiting John and Jean. Always made you feel welcome. Though we've lost touch I am genuinely sad to hear this news.
Condolences to all family members.

John very patiently taught me to drive, but much more than that he was also a very good friend of mine. I have known John and his wife, Jean, for many years, and he and I used to drink in the Plough and the Michelin club regularly. I was very sorry to hear of his death, and would like to send my very sincere condolences to his wife, Jean

John was my very patient driving instructor 25 years ago, he waved constantly at people on every driving lesson, he always had fruit polos and and talked endlessly about his wife and Daughter, a truly lovely Man! Rest in Peace John x

John got me through my driving test. He was a lovely and very patient man. I also used to see him at Port Vale. He always had a big smile on his face. Its so sad but he helped lots of people literally.
My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
RIP John Garner x
