Michael ThomasGAYLARDPassed away peacefully at Torr Care Home on Wednesday 3rd May 2023, aged 87 years. Loving husband of Hazel (deceased). Beloved father of Dave, Susan, Rob, Julie and Brian. Much loved grandad and great grandad. Reunited with Hazel. Will be missed by all. Funeral service at Weston Mill Crematorium on Friday 26th May at 2.45pm. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired for Alzheimer's Society Plymouth and District Branch or Plymouth Civil Service and Roborough Cricket Club may be left online at wcpltd.com. All enquiries to Walter C. Mike was a top bloke. We all enjoyed his company and appreciated the whole-hearted effort he put into Roborough Cricket Club. All four young Popes learned a lot about cricket and life there alongside Rob and Brian as well. Love from us all - Roger, Jean, Chris, Vicky, Nick and Dave.

To my club captain Mike

Following a bad football injury I never thought I’d enjoy competitive sport again. You gave me that drive and desire to go out onto a field again and better myself, form friendships and feel like I should. I will miss you my friend and never forget you. Such a gentleman. Sheps x

Mike, you played such a big part in my formative years as a young cricketer and I know that you had a positive impact on 1000s of young people. A true gent, my first club cricket coach who left a lasting legacy for so many. Rest in Peace. Simon Hards
