EirlysGLYN-JONESGorffennaf 26ain 2020, gwraig y diweddar John, mam Siôn a Sarah a nain i Ioan ac Aoife. Bu farw ar ôl brwydr hir, ddewr â chanser. Cafodd yrfa ddisglair fel athrawes Ysgol Uwchradd, lle wnaeth wahaniaeth enfawr i fywydau llawer o'i disgyblion; ei gwaith oedd ei galwedigaeth. Ar ôl ymddeol roedd hi'n ddiflino wrth godi arian ar gyfer Ward Alaw Ysbyty Gwynedd trwy'r pwyllgor elusennol, lle cyfarfu â llawer o ffrindiau agos. Bydd colled fawr ar ôl Eirlys, ond aiff byth yn angof. Bydd y gwasanaeth i nodi ei marwolaeth yn cael ei gynnal yn Amlosgfa Bangor ddydd Gwener Awst 14eg am hanner dydd. Oherwydd cyfyngiadau Covid, dim ond aelodau'r teulu all fynd i fewn i'r adeilad, ond mae croeso i ffrindiau a rhai sy'n dymuno sefyll oddi allan. Byddai'n well gan Eirlys beidio a chael blodau, ond byddem yn ddiolchgar o dderbyn rhoddion tuag at Uned Dydd Cyfeillion Alaw trwy law Gwenan Roberts o W. O. a M. Williams, Rose & Thistle, Llanedwen, LL61 6PX. Ffôn 01248 430312. 26th July 2020, wife of the late John, mother of Sion and Sarah and grandmother of Ioan and Aoife. Eirlys died after a long, brave battle with cancer. She had a distinguished career as a High School teacher, where she made a huge difference to the lives of many of her pupils; her work was her vocation. In retirement she was tireless in raising funds for the Alaw Ward Ysbyty Gwynedd through the charitable committee, where she met many close friends. Eirlys will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. The service to mark her passing will be held at Bangor Crematorium on Friday the 14th of August at 12 noon. Due to Covid restrictions, only family members may enter the building, but friends and well-wishers are welcome to attend outside. Eirlys would prefer not to have flowers, but donations to the Friends of Alaw Day Unit would be gratefully received per Gwenan Roberts of W. O. & M. Williams, Rose & Thistle, Llanedwen, LL61 6PX.
