I worked on the farm for a year back in 1974 and had a wonderful time because the family are so lovely and friendly. Rob was a hard taskmaster but very fair and funny. Pauline was the cement and kept everything together. She was an amazing women, strong and resourceful and always caring of everyone and everything. I helped her deliver leaflets round Newbald some years ago and she had more stamina than me. She will be greatly missed. I wish all the family my sympathy. Sorry we could not make the funeral but we were away on a road trip in Italy. I will think of her and you all often.

Lovely memories of Pauline at Rudston Walk many years ago and then, more recently, of her sterling work as a Ward Councillor on the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. Pauline always had so much to contribute, wherever she found herself, and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Pauline was a truly amazing woman. I first met her when she kindly invited me to spend Christmas with her and Sue and James at Burton Mount, after my father died. In her eighties , she was full of energy and life, and was very kind to me, though we had only previously met once before. I have never met anyone who had so many friends or who did as much for the community as Pauline. I will always have fond memories of our time cooking Christmas lunch together in her kitchen.
She will be very sadly missed. My sympathies to the family and all who knew her.
