Daphne MaryHALL ((Nee Spence))(Nee Spence) 1923 - 2020 It is with great sadness that Chris and Angie announce the passing of our mum, dear Daphne (of Messingham, Althorpe and Eastoft), on the 28th July 2020 at Lindsey Lodge Hospice. (Retired Nurse/Theatre Sister and Sub Postmistress) She was a loving, caring and beautiful lady, much loved by her late husband, Alan, and they were devoted to each other for 57 happily married years. They are now united again and can both find peace at last. Daphne was the embodiment of a fabulous nurse in everything she did, full of love and kindness in all her words and deeds. She was a much loved Mum, Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister, Auntie and friend to many, who will be sorely missed but will stay in our hearts forever. We would like to add our heartfelt thanks in particular to all the lovely carers from the Macmillan Care Team, who have been helping us care for Mum at home for 4 months, through lockdown; and also all the Lindsey Lodge team for their compassion and excellent care through her final few weeks. THANK YOU . A private service will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Messingham on Monday 17th August at 12pm. Family flowers only please.
