James William ArthurHANSFORDSBStJ (Lofty, Big Jim, The Toffee Man) Formerly of South Cave, passed away peacefully on 14th July 2020 at Northfield Care Home, Thorne. James recently marked two major milestones: 60 years of marriage to Dorothy and his 85th Birthday. A much loved and loving father to Christopher and Barbara, a grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be remembered for his decades of service, as a stalwart of the Royal British Legion, South Cave Flower Show and St John Ambulance. Also known locally as a barman at the Fox & Coney and to his BAe HOSM and Brough colleagues. A great friend and helper to many, James will be very sadly missed. A private family funeral will be held at Rose Hill Crematorium, Doncaster on 29th July 2020. Family flowers only please, donations to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal at James' request.
