Janet was in inspiration to me as long as I knew her. We kept in touch ever since I left school. She had such a deep and living faith, and was so pleased when I started preaching. She was always pleased to see people and hear from them and took such wamr and genuine interest in others. She was also an incredably gifted musican and very modest about her talent. At two days' notice she once accompanied me at a music festival when my original accompanist had to withdraw because of work commitments. This involved mastering a very complicated accompaniment to a lieder. Please let me know when her memorial service is. I live in Northamptonshire now but will happily travel up - 07488 539333 - Ruth Groome, formerly Newby.
