DavidHORSFALLMr David Horsfall of Bridge Street, Water died peacefully at home on Sunday, August 21 aged 75 years. A short service will be held at the Chapel of Rest on Tuesday, September 6, at 1.50pm, followed by cremation at Burnley Crematorium at 2.30pm. conducted by his nephew the Rev Andrew Horsfall. Born in Britannia where he lived all his young life, he moved to Water 35 years ago. He was employed at the family Post Office business in Britannia before becoming a book keeper and working with his sister Judith and her family at the Royal Hotel, Waterfoot for many years. In his younger days David played cricket for Bacup and in the Sunday School league for Beulah Methodist church, Britannia. He also enjoyed playing badminton and pool. He shared 27 happy years with his late partner Carol and leaves his son Philip and his wife Clare, daughter Joanne and her husband Liam, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, brother Stuart and his wife Jan, sisters Janet and her husband Derrick, Judith and her husband Paul, nieces, nephews and many friends.
