MaryJOHNSONFollowing a short illness, Mary sadly died gently and peacefully on Tuesday 21st January 2020 aged 93 years. Mary had lived in Stretford for almost 60 years. Wife of the late Tom Johnson and mother of Sylvia, Peter and the late Michael. Grandmother of Hannah, Samuel, Emily and the late Christopher. She will be sorely missed by us all and by all her friends both in Stretford and further afield. She shared her lifelong passion for music with many schoolchildren in Manchester and enjoyed singing with the Halle choir and Altrincham and Urmston Choral Societies well into her eighties. Her funeral, and a celebration of her life will be held on Monday 10th February at 11am at St Matthew's Church, Chester Road, Stretford, Manchester M32 8HF.
