SueJONESSusan Mary Jones, nee Walter. Sue passed away on Sunday 24th April 2022 in St Michael’s Hospital, Hayle. Aged 84, of St Mawgan, Sue was a stalwart of the village. Those reading this who knew her will need no overt description of who she was - her unique character; formidable, kind and (sometimes brutally) honest will mean she is remembered by all throughout the area, both fondly and with some amusement as everyone remembers their own stories of Sue. In true Grannymother Sue style, she made clear that she wanted no funeral service or ceremony, and so a private cremation with family attendance is to take place. However, her sister Jayne, children Mark, Kim, and Sally, five grandchildren, and great grandchild would love for everyone who knew her to join them to celebrate Sue at The Merrymoor Inn, Mawgan Porth on Thursday 26th May 2022 from 5pm (the 5 O’clock Club!). Donations in memory to benefit Shelterbox; a charity very close to Sue's heart, may be sent C/O The Funeral Director Andrew Henwood, 74 Edgcumbe Ave, Newquay TR7 2NN or given online at Henwoodfunerals.co.uk. There will also be a collection during the celebration at the Merrymoor Inn.
