Farewell Mr Kaye, best vet ever, much appreciated by my many pussycats and other pets, and unique in his profession for offering a discount for bulk! We human friends will miss Tony's famous conviviality, his kindness, generosity, witty repartee and consumate skills as a raconteur. God rest your beautiful soul, Tony, and bring consolation to your lovely family in their time of sorrow. x

Tony was our best man 42 years ago, when we were flatmates. He was always full of boundless enthusiasm and energy. It was sad to see his health deteriorate, but never his zest for life. Mention of "The Sky at Night" will always bring back memories of him!! Our thoughts go out to Sue, Christopher, Helen and family where his infectious humour will sorely be missed. Sue, you were certainly an amazing caring wife.

Tony was a great friend since September 1973 when we became flatmates and I was delighted to be his best man at his wedding to Sue. I have so many cheerful and happy memories. His legacy is his wonderful family and I’m so glad he lived to see Helen married to Mark and to welcome his granddaughter, Sophie. Tony will forever be remembered with a cheerful smile.

Sorry to hear of your passing It was back in the 70’s when I met Tony when I was living and working as a nurse in Heidelberg He was such a funny bloke and always made us laugh with his fabulously funny stories of being a vet for the us armed forces we enjoyed many a good bottle of wine and a good belly laugh together
Much love to all your family from the land down under x

I met Tony in Heidelberg Germany.
He rapidly became a good friend and we ended up living together in a wonderful house in Schriesheim overlooking the vineyards.
We played tennis every afternoon followed by some heavy wine drinking every night.
We also had some interesting(horrific) skiing trips with Tony, who, as usual, showing absolutely no fear.
Always happy and positive, he had an amazing intellect and was never boring.
I still have his “Words Weather Guide” on my toilet floor.
We will all miss you Tony, you were a unique man.
Much love to all your family from the land of Aus.

It was with great sadness that I read that Tony had passed away. We first met the day before the start of our course at the RVC when we arrived to share a room at Mrs Bonnici's in Muswell Hill. Tony's father stayed on in London that night and took us into Camden the following morning for our induction. Our excitement continued as his father took us to the GPO tower for lunch. Despite having no reservation he managed to persuade the person on the desk to let us have a table in the revolving restaurant. This was just the first of many memorable and enjoyable experiences that we shared during our college years.
As others have said his interest in the weather was profound. Every night we had to listen to the late weather and shipping forecasts before he could settle down to sleep.
Then there was the time he drove us away from the RVC only to utter an expletive and pull up sharply, jumping out he ran up Royal College Street to recover the notes he had left on the roof of his beloved Beetle that were blowing down the street! I think we got them all in the end.
I shall remember him as a great individual character, as quick with his humour as he was with his knowledge of the weather and things astronomical.
Rest in peace Tony, you will be sorely missed.
My thoughts are with your family.
