Beloved husband to the late Jill, much loved father to Clare and Mark, respected father in law to Alan and Laura and proud grandfather to James, George, Charlie and Tom. Requiescat in Pace. Amen.

Extraordinarily I have just been looking at class photographs from St Joseph's Primary School, Middlesbrough, in the early 1950s. Denis appears: he was a fine boy already, very intelligent and courteous. I sat next to him in Sister Baptist's class in Junior 4. I remember him so clearly and send my deepest sympathy to his family. Judith McClure
