John RobertKNOX(Amble) Sadly but peacefully on 15th February aged 89 years. Musician and composer, former carillonneur at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Perth and Aberdeen in Scotland, and Old Bond Street, London. Composer of "Northumbrian Impressions 1-4" for orchestra, and many other works for piano, strings, orchestra and carillon. John will be greatly missed by family and friends who knew and loved him, and those who played his music. By request of the family a private funeral service will be held at The Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Amble, family flowers only. Donations if desired can be made to Cancer Research UK.
