Our house was never big enough for the two of us, it's so empty now,

You were my best friend. I don’t have the words to say how I feel now that you are gone. I miss you, Mum xxx

My days are emptier with your passing. The time set aside for our daily chats is empty and unfulfilled. We didn’t always see eye to eye and my life took me from you geographically. From the beginning when you fought for me to the end when you fought so long. This is how I will remember you - A Meso Warrior! Love & miss you Mum x

To my sister, we may not always have seen eye to eye, but you never let me down. I hope I never let you down either. We had some good times especially when the six of us went away for the weekend. I will miss those. Rest easy now. With love Carol

"I have only slipped away into the next room" the poem says,
It's not true, I checked. The next room was empty.
You're not there, you never will be, I'll never see you again.

We held your hand near the end, before you slipped away.
I hope it gave you some comfort as it did me.
I like to think you're in a better place now, wherever it is.

One morning, as the sun was rising but the moon was still out
I saw a star on its own burning bright.
Was it you? Do you watch over us all, yet always out of reach?

You fought hard when you could, but your time has come and gone.
Too soon for us all, but it can't be changed.
We should use our memories and your strength to help us in our own times of need.

You will always be in our hearts.
