A WONDERFUL TEACHER
I was a pupil of Miss Leckie, at Laighstonehall Primary 1975-77. She was a wonderful teacher, who tried hard to get the best from her pupils. I only read of her death recently, when I collected all the back copies of the Advertiser which my mum keeps for me. I was sad to read of Miss Leckie's passing, and the fact that I had also missed the memorial service, at which I would have liked to attend to pay my respects. Miss Leckie always asked my parents how I was doing and took an interest in my life. I will always be grateful for her input into my education, and the lasting impression she made on me. A truly wonderful teacher and a special lady too.
