Sang in the Cathedral Parish Choir under Morley first as a treble and later as a bass. Enjoyed his company and appreciated that he always had time for you and took an interest in what you were doing. Will miss our pints and conversations we used to have with him and other friends from the choir.

Morley was a great friend to our family, and visited us regularly. I will forever associate beautiful choral music with Wills Choir summers and his expert leadership of the choir. He was great company and I will always have very fond memories.

Dearest Mo,
I never underestimated your musical talent having been brought up with you writing music and playing choral and organ music in our home from a very young age.
Your talent and musicality touched many; just as your kindness , empathy and interest in others touched everyone who came in contact with you,
You will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered and you leave a wonderful musical legacy that my family - your niece and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephew - will hopefully carry on in some magical way. You were a gentle man and a gentleman.
Your loving sister,
Rosemary xxx

Morley was a most intelligent, perceptive, non-materialistic, modest and wise man of great integrity. An inspirational musician, his uncompromising approach and remarkable talent for getting the best out of people enabled his choirs to achieve much beauty in Christian worship. His legacy lives on directly or indirectly in innumerable music makers, and in the rich memories of those so fortunate to have sung and worked with him. A much-loved, thoughtful and loyal friend to many and very good company.

Morley was a very popular and highly accomplished choir master and organist who had an infectious enthusiasm for church music. I particularly remember him playing Mathias' Processional at Llandaff Cathedral and improvising on the Prelude to Charpentier's Te Deum at our wedding in Kent and again the following Christmas at Llandaff when he spotted my wife and I in the congregation.
