DonLIDDLELIDDLE (DON) Peacefully on July 23rd 2015, Don aged 84 years of Middleton, the beloved husband of Dorothy, dearly loved dad of Sue, much loved grandad of Paul and Andrew and the loving great grandad of Eve, Esme and Emily. Funeral service, Wednesday August 12th, St Michaels Church, Middleton at 1.15pm followed by committal at Middleton (Boarshaw) Crematorium. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Fire Service Benevolant Fund c/o S Wellens and Sons to whom all enquiries should be made. Tel: 643 2677

For my dad Don, the best dad I could’ve wished for…I didn’t tell you often I loved you and neither did you to me but we just knew we loved each other without compromise. You were an amazing husband to my mum Dot and you loved her with all your heart and soul and vice versa.
Your grandsons Paul and Andrew were a great source of pride to you and both followed your career path. Their children your great granddaughters were the icing on the cake and our small family was complete for you…and you loved us all…
A serious man, hard working, generous and a great friend to all who you liked and you never forgot old friends from way back. You were a comic genius who entertained with brilliant stories and a fabulous party giver along with mum and there were many many parties.
I love you and miss you very much but carry on partying ‘up there’ with all your family n friends…Suexxx
