William ('Bill')MAHERpassed away peacefully on Friday 10th April 2020. Dearly loved by his wife of 45 years, Carol and beloved father of Stuart, Simon and Rachael, very proud grandfather to Charlie, Elle, Corey, Milo, Matthew, Joshua, Lucas, Isla and Orla. Bill was a gentleman, a big character and the life and soul of the party. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Due to current restrictions there will be a private family funeral service held for Bill at Trent Valley Crematorium on 28th April at 11:30. Family flowers only. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Bill's life will be arranged at a future date. Saddened to see that Bill has passed away. Bill was my Mentor when I was a youth work student at Derby University in the 1990s. I was at placement at the YMCA with him, he was a passionate human who challenged inequality. I remember his laughter and we had some good laughs. A true character. My condolences to his family and friends. RIP Bill. John Davies
