Dorothy MayMASKERY (Lanchester)Suddenly but peacefully in University Hospital of North Durham on 7th March 2021 aged 89 years. Much loved Mum, dear Mother-in-law, much loved Gran and Great Gran who will be sadly missed by family and friends. Funeral service to be held at All Saints Parish Church, Lanchester followed by cremation at Mountsett Crematorium. Family flowers only with donations to be made to the NSPCC.

Babs will be greatly missed by so many. She was a very special lady who was always professional, supportive, sensitive to the needs of others, compassionate and fair. I am already missing our monthly letter-writing where we shared our ‘news’. I no longer can look forward to sharing a box of cakes and a coffee with my quality friend when I visited the area. Babs could chat about anything with knowledge, honesty, often with a little mischievousness and a wonderful sense of humour. Rest in peace. Lyn
