You were a friend, a companion and mentor. Your generosity of spirit and kindness was exceptional; indeed, I really did appreciate all the love, support and encouragement you gave over the years. I'm so grateful to have had you in my life. So, so long Billy - a lifelong co-operator and socialist - I'll miss you dearly. RIP. Martin. Uncle BiIl Fondly remembered by his Nephew, Graham, Ingrid and Evan. Bill was an inspiration to all those who knew him, including his very many friends in the walking groups that he was a part of. Bill devoted his working life to his passion for working class, adult education, and a life of solidarity with all those suffering injustice all over the world. Bill was also an inspiration in how he lived his life right up until the end, remaining very active well into his nineties, with his holidays across Europe, and still enjoying going to see live music. Bill had a tremendous generosity of spirit, and his spirit lives on in all of those who were privileged to have known him.
