JohnMEADOWSPeacefully on Tuesday 23rd of January 2024 after a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family, John passed away aged 86 years.

Beloved husband of the late Merle. Much loved dad of Mandy and Robert, a dear father-in-law of Charlie and Pam, loving grandad of Stuart, Paul, Sophie, Sam and Oscar, an old grandad to Eleanor, Olivia, William and Evalyn, brother of Keith and the late Barbara and Alec, a cousin to family in both the UK and Canada.

John will be greatly missed for his kindness and mischievous humour.

A funeral service will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Tuesday 6th of February at 1.30pm.

Family flowers only please by request, however donations to Macmillan, RNLI and Air Ambulance may be sent to

Huteson & Sons, The Old Chapel, Bluestone Lane, Immingham, DN40 2DX, where John is resting.

I remember John and Merle visiting us at the cottage boating, campfires, and hiking. One thing that stood out to John was how much firewood we burned. That was very different from campfires back home.
