Geoffrey ReginaldMEIRSadly passed away on Saturday 4th December at Derriford Hospital, aged 77. Deeply loved and respected by wife Maggie, daughters Rachel and Sarah, son-in-law James and grandsons Ollie and Joshie. A true gentleman, always kind and generous and with a twinkle in his eye. Brave and dignified throughout, he will be greatly missed. In place of a funeral service family and friends will be invited to take part in a memorial walk. We would welcome tributes, and if desired, donations to the Dartmoor Rescue Group via muchloved.com

I worked with Geoffrey Meir at Perth Dental Hospital. I was a first year dental nurse. Mr Meir as we had to call all the Dentist Mr. always made me laugh. I liked how he sang songs like MacArthur's Park, he often changed the words to make the song funny. I respected him and am sorry to hear of his passing. Sending my condolences to his family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Geoff passing. I worked with him and only this week heard this.
His sense of humour always had us in fits of laughter. One of lifes real gentlemen

I am saddened to learn of Geoff passing. We were best friends at Burton on Trent in the 1950s and cycled hundreds of miles together, visiting many parts of England and Wales. We lost contact around 1960 as we each followed our chosen careers but I cherish my memories of the happy times we shared together. Graham Garner.
