Dorothy AnnMERRICKDorothy died peacefully at Lizdean Nursing Home in Kilmarnock after residing there for the last few years. She was a member of the Stott family who ran a small travelling circus for many years and married Peter Merrick in 1946. Originally members of the travelling show world but then decided to settle in Stewarton when the family came along. Daughter Anne lives in Ayr with her family and became Dorothy's carer since Peter died in 1990. Her other 3 children Peter, Ernie and Nancy live in Australia but often come home to visit.
