So sad to hear of Georges death. He was a true gentleman and always had time to have a chat. He always went out of his way to meet my family and myself went he heard I was coming over to visit Eric and Kathleen from Ireland. We always had a good laugh in the club and long chats over Gaelic football. I'm sorry for your loss David to you and your family. RIP George and sleep well my friend. Derek,Aine & Ciara xxx

Such sad news about a true gentleman.
I've had the pleasure of knowing George for many years through his regular visits to the Ukrainian Social Club in Leicester, getting to know him much more closely in the last ten years. Working behind the bar on Mondays during part of that time and a regular visitor to the club myself, I enjoyed so many laughs with George and listening to interesting stories of times gone by. He had the gift of somehow making you feel as if you had been there too. George's first words would always be to ask 'How are you?' A very lovable character, I'll miss George deeply and my deepest sympathy goes to family and his other friends. God bless. Andy Boat
