Remembering a dear neighbour and friend. So many wonderful conversations over coffee in our garden.

My 2 fondest messages of David, both relate to my childhood.
As one of his nephews, I alongside my family would visit Cambridge from time to time and on one visit, David had set up a tent in the back garden for the cousins to use. I remember it getting quite late ( well beyond my normal bedtime ) and creeping back into the house and watching part of a spaghetti western with David and the rest of the adults. It was a real treat !!
On another occasion, David and Rosa had taken us punting in Cambridge. It was a hot sweltering day and after our session was over, David asked me if I would like a pint of lager shandy. It was the first pint I had ever drunk ( I think I was 16 at the time ) and probably the most refreshing drink I ever experienced 👌
I felt very grown up 🤣
Thank you Uncle David ❤️
