Mary Patricia (Pat)QUINNPassed away peacefully on Friday 24th December aged 90 years. Born and raised in Clayton Le Moors only latterly moving to Abram Nr. Wigan to be in the care of her daughter, Pat always saw herself as a full bloodied Claytoner and bottom-ender Dearly loved wife of the late Philip, loving mother of Kathleen, Martin and Maureen; Mother-in-law to Colin, Pauline and Paul, adored grandmother (GP) of Christian, Ellen, Danny, Liam, Lois, Katherine and Elliot. Doting and "weary" Great grandmother of Jacob, Aaron, Molly, Rosy, Evan, Abigail, Max, Florence, Jarvis and Hattie and only sister to Tony; Pat will be very sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Pat worked in and around Clayton through the years and was a popular and lively character around the area. A keen supporter of the underdog until recently Pat was a keen and active member of the Labour party and in 1992-3 proudly served as Mayoress of Hyndburn to the then Mayor her Aunt Cath Thom. A generous supporter of numerous charities particularly animals, over the years Pat had a good number of pet whippets, greyhounds and cats.
