Derek Vivian IvorSANTILLOIn Loving Memory SANTILLO Derek Vivian Ivor Passed away peacefully at home in Plymouth, after a long illness on 29th April 2020, aged 88 years. Always caring and generous to family and friends alike. He bore his illness with courage, and fought hard to stay with us. Beloved dad of Steven and Paul, and father-in-law of Carole and Sii. Derek was the retired owner of Santillo Engineering Designs, and previously, Chief Engineering Designer with Tecalemit. He designed the two post vehicle lift, the machine made the lens for the Hubble Space Telescope, and the mirror alignment system for the CERN particle accelerator. A keen darts player for several Plymouth pub teams over the years; and a motorcycle enthusiast in his youth. Derek was the oldest subscribing brother of Plymouth Freemason's Victory Lodge. He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him The funeral service was held at Efford Crematorium, Plymouth on Wednesday 27th May 2020.
