AudreySMITHMrs Audrey Smith, of Roegreave Road, Oswaldtwistle, died on Wednesday, March 31, aged 81. She was a mill worker, an auxiliary nurse on a children’s ward, a housewife, and a carer, in which she retired from Church View, Oswaldtwistle. Audrey loved reading, knitting, crosswords, which she asked everyone for answers, meeting friends, and socialising. Wife of the late Robert Smith, she leaves children Joeann, Karl, Rebecca and her husband David, grandchildren Ishaq, Imtiaz, Morgan, Riley, Eadie, Nicole, and Shamsa, and great-grandchildren Mia, Aylah, and Rehan. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 13, at 1pm, at Immanuel Church, New Lane, Oswaldtwistle, led by Capt Martin Joss. Flowers welcome; donations if desired to the British Heart Foundation. Funeral director: Hyndburn Funeral Services.
