RoseSMITHRose who spent most of her life living in Grangetown and Eston and in the last few months has been a resident of Astune Rise Care Home, passed away peacefully on Monday 23rd September 2024 aged 96 after a brief illness.
Rose was the much-loved wife of Dennis, mother of Paul, grandmother of Mike and Chris, great-grandmother of Thomas, James, Bethany and Daniel, and mother-in-law to Rosemary and Lynn. Rose was also aunt to Anna. Her spirit and commitment to her family will be greatly missed.
A Requiem Mass will be held for Rose on Monday 7th October at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Whale Hill, Eston at 10.30 am, followed by cremation at Teesside Crematorium and refreshment at The Ship Inn at Eston.
The Family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation is made to The Royal National Institute for the Blind. The family thanks the staff at Astune Rise for their consideration and kindness at this difficult time in Rose's life.
