Mary and I first became friends through the Public Health training programme in Birmingham and we loved to catch up on her regular trips to her family to Limerick. Mary’s warmth , keen mind , and strong opinions always made her a great companion - we will miss you Mary ..

We met Mary when we were in England for 5 months to study at the Staffordshire University. She welcomed us to her Church with great warmth and immediately made us feel part of the community. She made our time in Stoke-on-Trent so wonderful with her weekly chats before or after Mass. We are truly grateful for all her kindness and warmth and will remember her as a great friend.
May your soul rest in peace, dear Mary. May the Father welcome you as warmly as you welcomed us.

Tamara and Mariska, sending much love from The Netherlands
