I have just heard such sad news today at work . I was shocked. I knew Mick from work and he was a huge support to Gateshead community nursing . A lovely man. Genuinely sad to hear this news. When doing house calls he would always wave when passing in his van .

No words can describe the devastation we feel from losing you Mick. You were the most kind, caring, loving man, you would do anything for anyone and always had time for everyone. I'm so grateful I had the pleasure of having you in my life and being able to say that you were my Father in-law. It makes me so sad to think you're not going to see James grow up but know he'll always know who his Grandad was. You'll never be forgotten Mick but you'll be forever missed xxxxxx

Always a pleasure to speak to Mick before and after games at Whickham. An unsung hero at the club who was happy to do anything to help anyone.
Taken to soon but never forgotten, a true gentleman who will be truly missed.
Thoughts with the family during this difficult time x
