Philip was a true Gentlemen , and a good neighbor from the mid 50`s at Wells Street , then to a Next door Neighbor at Ancaster Avenue from about 1963,
He would often call
us over the fence to his house to look at his new train lay out. As kids we really appreciated him giving us the time as we had a common interest in trains; with my dad being a Train Driver. I think Philip was a big kid at heart, with a heart of gold.
I cant thank him enough for the care he showed to my Mam after my Dad died, running errands and helping her in general. They had a code for each other, if the drapes were still drawn after 11am check in on one another. Philip had to on one occasion, lucky for Mam she had the best neighbor. Thanks again Philip for being a caring soul.
You were like a member of the family,
Rest in Peace Mate you will be sadly missed.
