I was so upset to find that Hilda has died, I was so sorry that I have only found out today as due to health issues I had not written since before Christmas. To Julia and George I know that your mum was much loved by many, many people and when she wrote to me I could tell how proud she was of both of you but also your respective families. My three children looked forward to her letters as much as I did, even though they didn't know people or area and they have also been saddened to hear she has died. Hilda was a very, very special lady who always will remain in the hearts of many and remembered with much fondness. The deepest sympathy comes from my family to yours and Heaven really did gain a beautiful Angel with a beautiful heart and I know many, many people both young and old will miss her. With deepest sympathy and love from Shirley (new Longbone, late Edna Brown's niece) Paul, Peter, Kirsty, Henry & Houdini xxxxxx
